Hello, everyone! Welcome to ActiveCollab’s latest updates! In January, we worked on Events in Workload, eInvoicing, and a Project Progress Menu. February also brings interesting new things, including External Calendars in ActiveCollab, Invoices and Estimates in Companies’ Profiles, and improved Team Timesheets.
These should all help you get around in your ActiveCollab workspace better. Let’s see how.
External Calendars in ActiveCollab
With the option to import external calendars to your ActiveCollab Calendar, you can now keep all your important meetings, calls, and events in order and in one place.
Whether it’s Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar or any other app that offers a valid iCal format, all you need to do is copy and paste the relevant link to import the calendar to ActiveCollab.
We’ll keep them in sync, so you don’t have to worry about scheduling conflicts or missed meetings.
And here’s a brilliant thing: all your external calendar events can be added to your and other participants’ workloads in ActiveCollab. You can take away those hours from everyone’s daily hourly availability to ensure accurate capacity planning. You can also leave notes and comments to events, so you can quickly update each other if there’s a delay or a question that needs your attention.
Client Invoices and Estimates
A superb thing that lets you view and manage all invoices and estimates created for a specific client are the Invoices and Estimates tabs we added to Company Profiles.
As a much more convenient way for you to access these documents, the tabs let you do even more. For example, maybe you want to check if you’re doing business with the right client in that they pay you regularly and on time, maybe you want to see if you have potential projects in the pipeline with them or if it’s time to adjust your rates. Check and manage all paid and unpaid invoices, turn won estimates into projects or create invoices from them without leaving the People section.
Improved Team Timesheets
In agencies, people often get so caught up in work that they forget to submit their timesheets.
Now, you can track down those team members more easily. We added the option to sort timesheets by totals and totals on a specific day, so you can see who’s recorded their time right or not at all. You can check in with the person missing their timesheets and see what’s going on.
You can also add time records in Timesheets directly, without leaving the section. If you need to analyze or modify timesheet data for more insights, you can export timesheets as csv, and edit them in Excel.
