Billable/Non-Billable Status of Time and Expenses

When creating or editing a Project, you can set the time and expense records to be billable or non-billable by default.

This option is available for Fixed price and Time and Expense budgeting types.
(The Non-Billable budgeting type has no budget and all of its time and expense records will be marked as non-billable, which can't be changed. Ideal for internal projects).

Once you choose the budgeting type, you can set whether the time and expense records on this project will be billable or non-billable by default.

You can also choose who gets to change the default status of a task, time and expense records later on. It could be only Project Leaders and Owners or all users (except for Client roles).

When you set all the time and expense records to be billable by default on a project, only team members allowed to make changes can do so. All tasks, time and expense records can be changed to non-billable by unchecking the box.

When you set all the time and expense records to be non-billable by default on a project, only team members allowed to make changes can do so. All tasks, time and expense records can be changed to billable by ticking the box.
