Multiple Assignees per Task
Assign several people to the same task, each with their own job type and time estimate, while the task keeps one full estimate. Hours you have not handed out yet show as unassigned.
Why it matters
- Everyone is on the task. The people actually doing the work are all on the task, not hidden behind one name.
- Workload stays honest. Each person's hours land on that person, so individual capacity is real instead of dumped on a single assignee.
- Billing stays correct. Each assignee's time uses their own job type and rate, so mixed-role work bills at the right rates.
- Nothing gets lost. The full estimate stays intact, and the unassigned remainder stays visible until you hand it out.
Guardrails keep the math sane
The task estimate cannot drop below the hours already promised to people. Replacing a person is still two clicks, and their job type and estimate transfer to the new assignee automatically. Removing a person folds their hours into the task's unassigned total, so nothing vanishes while you line up a replacement.
