What is Value Stream Management?
Value stream management (VSM) is the practice of visualizing, analyzing, and improving the flow of value through the entire project or product lifecycle. Instead of looking only at individual tasks or departments, it focuses on the bigger picture: how an idea moves from concept to customer and how much value is delivered at each step.
In project management, value streams help teams understand where time, resources, and effort are being spent—and whether those efforts are actually contributing to customer outcomes.
